Many of you may not know this, but before we were primarily baking Flouwer Co. Artisanal Crackers, we ran a niche catering company that specialized in styling cheese and charcuterie boards. Although we do miss building boards from time to time, we mainly miss experimenting with new and exciting pairings - a.k.a. sampling wine and eating cheeses with different fruits and spreads all in the name of research.
We believe cheese and charcuterie boards carry so much of the maker's identity in them so they are a fun way to showcase your tastes and what excites you! For example, as I am sure you can imagine, our boards always incorporated a lot of color and seasonal edible flowers. Although, I can also appreciate feeling overwhelmed about where to even begin given the elaborate boards that are filling social feeds.
We want to make a regular effort to post about pairings that we love and feel capture the moment with seasonally available produce, but that are also composed of either local or easy to find products. We know that we will feature a pairing at least once a month, but if we are feeling inspired we may feature more.
